We're excited to launch a new series of online group classes for pregnancy and postpartum starting July 2020. Each class is grouped thematically by trimester.

What will be covered?

Classes will meet bi-weekly for 3 months, for a total of 6 classes per trimester. Classes will combine movement and learning, helping you to:

  • Understand your changing body
  • Strengthen your pelvic floor and core
  • Move and prep for an easier delivery
  • Recover more quickly postpartum

Topics covered include safe movement and exercise during pregnancy, labor and delivery preparation (including birthing positions that reduce the risk of tearing), how to manage post-birth complications in the first 12 weeks, healing and recovering strength postpartum, safe return to exercise and intercourse, among other topics.

How do I know which class is right for me?

Classes are designed to progress throughout the trimester, so ideally you would be in the first 4 weeks of the trimester to maximize your learnings.

If you're in the middle or end of the trimester, let us know and we'd be happy to work with you to recommend the best class for your needs!

What do I need for the classes?

We plan to move and learn in these classes, so we recommend having a yoga mat nearby and wearing comfortable clothing for light exercise.

What happens if I can't make a live session?

Not to worry. Each class will be recorded, so if you can't make a particular session, you'll be able to catch up on your own time.

Do you have different times?

Please let our team know if the specific time does not work for you at all and we'll do our best to match you with a new group as soon as that's available.

How is this different from 1:1 PT?

Our group classes are rooted in the science of women's health physical therapy and draw from the learnings of treating thousands of pregnant and postpartum patients. We have elevated all the "need to know" information and exercises we believe is true for every expecting and new mother.

That said, if you're having specific aches, pains, or concern, we definitely recommend working with someone on our team in a 1:1 capacity in addition to the class.

Is this covered by insurance?

Origin online group classes are not currently covered by insurance. If cost is a concern, please reach out to our team.
