Dr. Courtney Witte, PT, DPT
Courtney is a small-town native from Karnes City, Texas, whose journey into physical therapy has been shaped by community, compassion, and a passion for inclusion. Growing up just outside of San Antonio, she spent much of her life visiting the city, which over time began to feel like home. After earning her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in College Station in 2018, Courtney knew she wanted to return to San Antonio to continue her education and career in a place that felt both familiar and inspiring.
During her undergraduate years, Courtney discovered a love for caregiving and volunteer work, especially with adults with disabilities. These experiences sparked her interest in holistic, person-centered care and set the stage for her path toward physical therapy. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Rehabilitation Sciences. It was during her final clinical rotations that Courtney found her calling in pelvic floor physical therapy. She was deeply moved by the opportunity to support individuals who often suffer in silence with conditions like incontinence and pelvic pain. During that time, she also completed her Level 1 Pelvic Floor Certification through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, establishing a strong clinical foundation.
Courtney is passionate about making pelvic floor therapy more accessible, inclusive, and empowering. She treats patients of all backgrounds, including those with penile anatomy, trans patients, and pediatric patients. She has a special interest in supporting those with pelvic pain following medical, sexual, or emotional trauma, as well as individuals recovering from surgery such as mastectomy, using her skills in lymphatic drainage. As a self-proclaimed Pilates fanatic, Courtney has developed a deep understanding of core stability and breathwork, which further informs her evidence-based approach to pelvic floor rehabilitation.
Courtney strives to create a supportive environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and included. She is particularly passionate about advocating for those living with urinary incontinence or pelvic pain who may have been led to believe their symptoms are simply part of life. Her mission is to empower her patients with knowledge, compassionate care, and a renewed sense of ownership over their bodies.
Outside of work, Courtney enjoys attending Pilates classes or relaxing in a coffee shop with her Kindle.
