Dr. Janice Nkrumah, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
She/Her
West Loop, Texas

Hi! I'm Dr. Janice Nkrumah, best known as Dr. Janice or Dr. J by my patients. I graduated from Abilene Christian University with my BS in Kinesiology and from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

As a movement specialist, I pride myself in actively listening to my patients in order to curate structured plans that will help them achieve their goals. I found my passion for women’s healthcare while in PT school; a fellow workout partner told me she always leaks with squatting and jumping. Throughout my academic career, I would hear more about people suffering from similar issues and simply having to deal with them because no one seemed to have “answers”. After 3 years of practicing, I always felt there was a missing component, especially with my female patients. That curiosity made me take the leap towards learning more about pelvic floor therapy and since then I am dedicated to becoming more informed and educated to better help my patients and the community.

My primary focus is on reproductive impairments, pelvic pain, and bladder issues.

When I'm not in the clinic, I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures, being active whether in the gym or outside, and spending time with family and friends.
