Dr. Kate Bentley, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
She/Her
Northwest Austin

Kate was born and raised in League City, Texas—a community halfway between Houston and Galveston—and later moved to Austin to complete her undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin. She then returned home to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UTMB. Now, Kate is thrilled to be back in her favorite city, serving the people of Austin as part of the Origin team.

Kate became passionate about pelvic health during her DPT training, when she discovered how many people—of all ages, genders, and backgrounds—struggle in silence with conditions that often go undiscussed and are not always fully addressed by traditional physical therapy models. Influential professors and mentors, especially during her clinical rotation at Origin, equipped her with the knowledge and hands-on skills to make a meaningful impact.

What Kate loves most about her work is witnessing the transformative moments when patients finally feel seen, heard, and hopeful. She believes pelvic floor physical therapy offers a unique and powerful space to change lives and help people reconnect with their bodies.

Kate treats a wide range of pelvic health and orthopedic conditions, with a particular focus on supporting individuals experiencing painful intercourse, pelvic and low back pain. She has a special passion for providing care during pregnancy, postpartum, and for labor preparation.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Kate is deeply committed to creating a welcoming and healing environment for her patients. Her mission is to treat the whole person, empowering each individual through greater self-efficacy, understanding, and control. In her free time, Kate enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, taking Pilates and yoga classes, and spending quality time with family and friends.
