Busra Celik, PT, MS
Busra was born in Turkey, where her passion for physical therapy began during her father's cancer journey. Witnessing his recovery process inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others through rehabilitation. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation from Marmara University in Istanbul, graduating as an honor student. Her enthusiasm for movement science and rehabilitation brought her to the United States, where she completed her Master's degree in Movement and Cognitive Rehabilitation Science at The University of Texas at Austin. During her graduate studies, Busra conducted research in aging populations and taught human physiology to pre-physical therapy students, deepening her understanding of how the body adapts and heals.Busra's journey into pelvic health was shaped by her cultural background.
Growing up in a culture where pelvic health issues are rarely discussed openly, she witnessed too many women suffer in silence. This experience ignited her mission to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care that empowers women to prioritize their pelvic health without hesitation. Beyond her clinical work, Busra is deeply committed to community service and leads social responsibility projects focused on supporting vulnerable populations. She regularly gives public presentations to raise awareness about women's health, working to break down cultural barriers that prevent open discussions about pelvic health.Busra lives in Georgetown with her husband, where she enjoys kayaking, hiking, bird watching, and experimenting with new recipes that they share with friends and family.
