Dr. Kyarah Capasgordo PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
She/Her
South Austin, TX

Kyarah earned a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2021, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2025. Her passion for exercise began in middle school, sparked by attending group fitness classes with her mom. This enthusiasm grew throughout college and graduate school, where she worked as a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, coaching clients of all experience levels in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

She began her physical therapy career in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, working with patients facing complex orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions as well as chronic pain, neuropathy, and motor control impairments. Through this experience, she recognized how many people silently struggle with pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction—conditions that profoundly affect quality of life but are often downplayed or viewed as untreatable.Believing the pelvic floor is one of the most vital yet overlooked systems in the body, Kyarah is passionate about empowering patients to take control of their pelvic health just as they would any other aspect of their well-being. She is dedicated to education, trust, and creating a positive environment where everyone feels seen and capable of regaining body confidence.Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs, attending UT sports games, and connecting with friends over dinner.
