
Dr. Mamata Mariyappa, PT, DPT
Mamata Mariyappa received her Bachelor of Physical Therapy in 2008 and her Master of Physical Therapy in 2010 in India, specializing in neurological and psychosomatic disorders. She practiced in various rehabilitation settings and served as a teaching faculty member. After moving to the United States, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Andrews University in Michigan and worked in skilled nursing and acute care rehabilitation. Her clinical experience and personal insight led her to pursue advanced specialization in pelvic floor conditions, including certification as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist and training in myofascial release, rectal balloon training and dry needling. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-300) certified by Yoga Alliance.
She thoughtfully integrates evidence-informed breathwork and mindful movement as part of her holistic, patient-centered approach to create a safe, individualized space that supports optimal function, confidence, and a deeper sense of connection to the whole self.
Mamata resides in Round Rock with her husband and son. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her family, reading, meditation, podcasts, and voluntary service. She is multilingual and speaks English, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
