Dr. Megan Stancill, PT, DPT
Megan is an experienced pelvic health specialist who believes that healing is an opportunity to build a deeper, more compassionate relationship with your own body. She is passionate about educating her patients on their diagnosis, their anatomy, and the "why" behind how they move, and sees the journey of healing as rich with insight that can ultimately lead to a fuller, more embodied life.
What sets Megan apart is a depth of movement knowledge that goes far beyond the clinic. Before becoming a physical therapist, she created and ran a yoga studio in Manhattan's flower district. She remains a certified yoga and Pilates mat and reformer instructor, teaches in the advanced teacher training program at the Kripalu Institute of Yoga and Health with a focus on special populations, and is the author of Megayoga, the first yoga book of posture modification for plus-size practitioners.
Megan earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hunter College in Manhattan in 2018 and has since completed advanced training in Pelvic Health through the Herman and Wallace Institute. She sees patients for both pelvic health and orthopedics and especially enjoys treating TMJ, neck pain, and back pain. She welcomes patients of all anatomies, including those who are in transition.
