
Dr. Mellisa Garcia , PT, DPT
Mellisa earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Texas State University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Baylor University. Inspired from a young age to become a physical therapist, Mellisa has always been passionate about helping patients regain their independence through purposeful movement.
With extensive experience supporting breast cancer survivors (both male and female) through physical and emotional recovery, Mellisa has developed a deep passion for working closely with patients in a way that fosters trust, safety, and empowerment. She is committed to helping each individual regain confidence, strength, and control in their bodies. She has completed PORi certification, demonstraing advanced expertise in cancer rehabilitation, including chemotoxicity exercise management.
Mellisa is particularly passionate about pelvic health, recognizing the importance of supporting women through deeply personal and often vulnerable experiences. She thrives in one-on-one care, where she creates a safe and empowering environment and builds lasting, trusting relationships in order to make a meaningful difference in each patient’s life.
Outside of work, Mellisa enjoys tuning into Masterchef and trying to replicate delicious recipes in her own kitchen.
