
Dr. Nijiera Addison, PT, DPT
Nijiera earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology from Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ where she played Division II basketball. She received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia where she co-founded a club based on improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in physical therapy. Her primary area of interest is pelvic floor dysfunction which includes stress/urge/mixed/fecal incontinence, constipation, dyspareunia, vaginismus, prenatal/postpartum care, pre/post-prostatectomy screenings, menopause and overactive bladder.
Nijiera is certified in pelvic floor dry needling and has advanced training in hip preservation and differentiation of hip and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Texas Physical Therapy Association where she is currently in the Tom Waugh Leadership Development Program to help navigate how to better promote pelvic health in the state of Texas primarily for women and men ages 18 and up. Nijiera’s passion for pelvic floor health continues through being a clinical instructor for current physical therapy students and being a vendor and/or panelist at community events. Outside of work, you'll find her at the gym trying to hit a personal record!
