Following two years working as a physical therapy technician, she attended the University of St. Augustine- Austin Campus and graduated with Honors with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. In her time as a technician she worked under a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist who later became her mentor and inspiration to specialize in Pelvic health conditions.
Severa is passionate about helping patients understand their bodies and learn how to be in the driver seat of any condition. Navigating through her challenging fertility journey, it brought to light her own pelvic floor dysfunction and how helpful pelvic floor PT can be from a patient perspective. Her mission as a physical therapist is to provide each patient with compassion, understanding and individualized treatment. She believes despite the diagnosis each patient should be treated as a whole, discovering what could be impacting their pelvic floor dysfunction.
When Severa is not treating patients, she is busy corralling her 3 dogs, crocheting amigurumi, hiking, enjoying good food, family time and traveling to different state parks with her Husband in their travel trailer.
