Dr. Susan Ogwu, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
She/Her
South Austin, TX

Susan is committed to empowering patients through evidence-based, patient-centered care, creating a safe, individualized space that supports optimal function, confidence, and quality of life. She integrates her advanced understanding of breath mechanics and biomechanics with trauma-informed principles, providing structured, compassionate care that respects each patient's full experience.

She specializes in urinary incontinence (stress and mixed), sciatica, lumbopelvic pain, bowel disorders, and postpartum recovery. A turning point for Susan was recognizing how many people experience pelvic dysfunction outside of pregnancy and childbirth, quietly managing symptoms they don't realize are treatable. That recognition deepened her dedication to breaking the stigma and making clear that no one has to simply live with chronic discomfort, regardless of who they are.

Susan brings a rich educational background to her work. She earned her Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Physical Therapy in Nigeria, where she specialized in cardiovascular and respiratory rehabilitation and served in clinical leadership across diverse rehabilitation settings. After relocating to the United States, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Andrews University in Michigan alongside a professional MBA. Her continuing education includes the Pelvic Pro Series, Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute coursework, dry needling, cupping, orthopedic manual therapy through NAIOMT, and Human Trafficking Awareness training, reflecting her commitment to comprehensive, whole-person care.
