Dr. Toyin Aboderin, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
She/Her
Virtual / Remote

Toyin approaches pelvic health physical therapy through movement, combining pelvic floor rehabilitation with whole-body movement and progressive strengthening to help patients understand their bodies and return to the activities they love. Drawing on her own love of strength training and Pilates, she enjoys helping patients build confidence in their bodies and showing them that pelvic health and an active lifestyle can go hand in hand.

She especially enjoys treating pelvic pain and supporting patients through perimenopause, pregnancy, and postpartum. She also treats painful intercourse, urinary and bowel dysfunction, and pelvic organ prolapse. She welcomes patients of all anatomies and has a lot of experience treating men. Toyin's passion for pelvic health began in undergrad, when she was mentored by a pelvic floor physical therapist who helped her realize how many of the symptoms we often accept as normal are signs of pelvic floor dysfunction. That experience inspired her to help others better understand their bodies, feel comfortable asking questions, and know they don't have to just live with their symptoms.

Originally from Mays Landing, New Jersey, Toyin earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Hampton University. She is also the founder of Your Pelvic Floor's Best Friend (PFBFF), a pelvic health education platform dedicated to making conversations about pelvic health more approachable and accessible. Through that work and with her patients, she loves making pelvic health education approachable and helping people feel confident, informed, and empowered to move their bodies without fear.

Outside of work, Toyin enjoys weightlifting, Pilates, and travel. She also loves doing something creative, whether it's painting, scrapbooking, or coloring, preferably somewhere with a fantastic view.
