Dr. Xiaoya Gong, PT, DPT
Xiaoya is passionate about helping people feel more comfortable talking about their bodies and seeking the care they deserve. She believes pelvic pain is a real medical condition, not something people should have to simply tolerate or feel embarrassed about, and is committed to helping patients recognize that effective treatment and support are available.
She especially enjoys treating pelvic pain, TMJ dysfunction, and sciatica, and has a particular love for working with recreational athletes, especially climbers. Xiaoya's interest in pelvic health began during her time working as a model, where she witnessed many young women struggling with pelvic pain without knowing where to turn for help. That experience inspired her to pursue pelvic floor physical therapy and dedicate her work to raising awareness that these conditions are treatable.
Born and raised in China, Xiaoya moved to the United States for college, completing her undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Her background in modeling and her passion for movement have shaped her appreciation for strength, body awareness, and confidence, all of which she brings to her whole-person approach to care.
Outside the clinic, Xiaoya is an avid boulderer who loves the challenge of solving climbing problems and constantly learning new techniques.
