Dr. Amethyst Guerrero, PT, DPT

Clinical Director/Physical Therapist
She/Her
Salt Lake City, Utah

Amethyst is the Clinical Director at Origin's Salt Lake City, UT and South Austin, TX locations. She believes every woman deserves to feel confident and comfortable in her own body, and she's dedicated to creating a safe space where you can openly discuss your health concerns without embarrassment or judgment.

Growing up in a family where women talked openly about health topics that are often considered taboo, Amethyst witnessed how many women suffer in silence with pelvic health issues. This personal insight drives her mission to ensure no woman feels alone when facing these challenges.

Amethyst earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she was honored as the Outstanding Physical Therapy Student of the Year. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University. She was recognized as "Best of the Best Physical Therapist" in Austin by the Austin American Statesman in 2020.

Beyond clinical care, Amethyst serves as a trusted mentor for students and fellow providers alike and has been recognized for her willingness to go above and beyond with Origin’s ‘Go BIG’ award.

Whether you're dealing with pelvic pain, preparing for childbirth, recovering postpartum, or navigating any other pelvic health concern, Amethyst combines evidence-based treatments with compassion to provide personalized care that fits your unique needs and goals.

In her free time, you can find Amethyst reading a book in her hammock or going for a long run. When you see her in the clinic, be sure to recommend a local spot to eat, hike or hang out!
