Dana Edwards, PT
Dana brings over 36 years of experience as a licensed physical therapist, with the last six focused exclusively on pelvic health. Her approach is evidence-based and patient-centered, built around helping people regain confidence, function, and quality of life. In addition to direct patient care, she has mentored physical therapists, coordinated continuing education, and served as a guest lecturer for hospital and community education programs.
She has a particular focus on osteoporosis and dyspareunia, and also works with patients with penile anatomy. Her certifications in the Meeks Method and McKenzie approach, along with her IWHI Menopause Coaching Certification, inform a well-rounded, whole-body lens that she brings to every patient interaction.
For nearly 20 years, Dana has volunteered with Volunteers for Honduran Communities, traveling to Comayagua almost 20 times to work alongside the local rehab team, teaching pregnant and postpartum moms how to manage pain and move more easily, and training local therapists in new techniques. That experience has deepened her ability to meet patients where they are and communicate across differences in background and experience.
After spending her entire life on the East Coast, Dana recently relocated to the Bay Area to be closer to her daughter's family. Outside the clinic, she loves playing with her granddaughter, walking her dog through the redwoods, and exploring her new home city of Oakland.
