Dr. Jayla-Kalina Hines, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
She/Her
Brentwood

Jayla is committed to creating a comfortable and inclusive environment where patients feel empowered to speak up about concerns without hesitation or embarrassment. She aims to normalize pelvic health discussions and bridge the gap to resources and individualized care that all patients deserve. Jayla is especially dedicated to advocating for and working with underserved and underrepresented populations, driven to promote equity in care by providing accessible, specialized treatment to diverse communities. She particularly loves helping folks experiencing sacroiliac joint dysfunction and urinary incontinence, and supporting patients through pregnancy and postpartum.

Jayla received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, California. Her interest in pelvic health was sparked when a guest lecturer spoke about the common misdiagnosis and dismissal of female symptoms. After realizing how little education PT students receive on the extensive diagnoses that patients quietly suffer with, she pursued a pelvic health clinical rotation at Origin Physical Therapy. This experience deepened her passion for candid conversations surrounding pelvic health, particularly in pre and postpartum care.

When she's not in the clinic, Jayla enjoys playing basketball for fun, going to concerts, finding the perfect matcha or brunch spots, making very specific Spotify playlists, reading, crafting, thrifting, and hanging out with her friends and family.
